GAP Lady

Here is a small gouache painting I did based on a woman I saw waiting by some denim shirts in front of the dressing room at a GAP during the holiday shopping season. Originally, she was more forlorn that this woman looks, and had a much smaller hairdo, but the painting evolved into something else as it progressed. I didn't have a photo and I wanted to get some mileage with the new travel brush my brother got me for Christmas, so this is the result. Hopefully I can get a few more studies and paintings done in the next several weeks before I begin work on a new project.
